Aquarium Fish Food Tips

A balanced diet for your aquarium fish is essential to thier survival. Most of the commercially available dry fish foods are almost always unbalanced. In many cases, the vitamin content will gradually decline at room temperature and since majority of the dry food for tropical fish commonly used will only keep for about three months, it is always advisable to buy fish-feeds in many small packs rather than in one large pack.

The feed could preferably be kept absolutely dry in a refrigerator. However, all fish appreciate a change of diet and will thank you for your consideration with more interesting behavior, better colours, and greater readiness to breed and better general well -being. This change of diet should be supplemented with live food; majority of which now come in irradiated freeze dried forms to make sure that they are disease free.

I will mention a few that could be found handy in some major aquarium shops and I will group them into two. And they are flake foods and freeze-dried foods

Flake foods

You need not bother to remove the rest worms since they seldom pollute and in most case fishes return to the feed for further fill.

I have been marketing online since 1990.
Long before the Web came about. I have
been actively marketing on the Internet as
we know it today since 1994.

Yes, I’m an Internet Marketing old geezer.

I have pretty much tried it all and seen it
all online when it comes to marketing tactics.

Certainly, there are new strategies and tactics
being thought of and tested everyday, and that’s
why I continue to buy new ebooks and teaching
products from others because you can never
know it all — no matter how successful you are.

But the single biggest mistake I see online, and
have seen for many years, regardless of the
strategy being used, is one simple thing…

POOR TRACKING!

People often ask me…

“John, is there any ONE thing that you can
attribute your online success to?”

The answer is simple… TRACKING.

I am a tracking FREAK. I track everything.
And I mean EVERYTHING.

As my good friend Jonathan Mizel likes to say…

“As online marketers we are not in the ‘marketing’
business we are in the MATH BUSINESS.”

If you want to know the difference between
success and failure online it comes down to
one thing.

If you want to know the difference in making
10 dollars online or $10,000, it comes down
to one thing.

If you want to know if your hard work is not
going to waste, its comes down to one thing.

TRACKING.

I like to joke that the secret to being
successful in Internet Marketing is this
really complex “formula.”

Then I go on to explain this exact formula…

When we do things online, such as our marketing
tests, site changes, place ads, buy clicks, do
a JV, whatever, one of TWO things happen
EVERY TIME.

Yes, only one of two things happen.

1. THEY MAKE US MONEY
2. THEY LOSE US MONEY

Amazing rocket science isn’t it?

The fact of the matter is Internet Marketing
is EASY. It’s an absolute JOKE to make money
when you have the basic fundamentals down, and
that you TRACK your efforts.

The tracking results will tell you what
works and what doesn’t. Then it’s EASY…

YOU KEEP DOING WHAT WORKS AND STOP DOING
WHAT DOESN’T!

In order to be extremely successful online
you must learn to track everything. You
must learn the value of tracking and get
used to doing it.

You make a change to a headline on your
site you must track it.

You test a different price you must track
it.

You use a different description on your
Web Site to get people to opt-in to your
list you must track it — not just the
percentage of people that opted in, but
also the QUALITY of the people that opted
in. I.e. Are they buying or taking the
necessary ACTION you want for them to
take AFTER they have opted in?

The biggest tracking mistake people
make is lumping all of their TRAFFIC
SOURCES together when trying to determine
their conversion rates.

In other words, when someone is trying
to figure out how many people are buying
or taking a specific action when they visit
a site, they are taking their total
traffic numbers and doing the math
based on the total number of buyers
(or whatever the desired action was.)

BZZZZZZ THANKS FOR PLAYING.

Major mistake. Huge. Yet marketers are
doing it everyday. And ironically, it’s
being done by some people that are making
a lot of money!

I know, because many of these people are
friends of mine and I’ve given them a hard
time about it. We laugh about it, but they
know it’s true and they are working hard
to become better “trackers” as I hope
you will too.

(Don’t worry I’m almost done with this article
and will stop rambling in a moment.)

The problem with not tracking traffic sources
(such as individual pay-per-click keywords,
link partners, search engine listings, JV
links, affiliate links, etc.) is this…

YOU CANNOT ACCURATELY DETERMINE WHAT IS
*WORKING* WHEN YOU TEST.

For example, if you run PPC campaigns for
multiple keywords (and if you track them
properly) you will find that some keywords
generate great conversion rates and sales.

Others will create sometimes NOTHING.

In fact, many will be losers. I.e. they don’t
turn a profit. Yet many PPC advertisers
will continue to just lump all their PPC
traffic together, and as long as they are
making more than they are spending they
consider it a “Victory.”

DUMB.

Tracking allows you to MAXIMIZE your efforts.
It allows you to SQUEEZE every last penny
of profit our of your marketing.

The other major pitfall with lumping all
of your traffic sources together is when
you go to make changes — such as testing
prices, or different headlines, or new
bonus offers, or another guarantee, or
anything else.

If your traffic fluctuates on a given day
from a given traffic source (which it WILL)
your results will always be SKEWED.

Your conversion rates for a specific test
may in fact be HIGHER for that given day.
OH JOY!

But, guess what? If the traffic to your
site happened to fluctuate so more of it
happened to come that day from a source
that typically converts higher than the
rest of your traffic, it’s very possible
that your “test” may have…

DECREASED YOUR CONVERSION.

That’s right, DECREASED! But you’d never
know it because looking at your overall
traffic stats “appears” as if your
average daily conversion rate increased.

So what do you end up doing? You KEEP that
test because you think it is making
you more money.

99.999% of online marketers are making this
mistake. And people wonder why it can
be difficult to make money online.

Reason #1: Poor Tracking

We’ll touch more on this topic in the near
future. I strongly believe it’s the single
most importance element of Internet Marketing
success.

I know for a fact I would not have made 10%
of what I have been blessed to have made from
marketing online if I wasn’t a tracking freak.

London Vacation: How to Act Like a Local When You’re at the Pub

Most people who visit London for the first time are hard-pressed to find a traditional place to eat and drink like the English. In fact, most of the Brits are more likely to have a curry or a Chinese takeaway than the expected fish and chips of old. International flavors all seem to settle now in the capital city, and that leaves tourists with one last guaranteed “English experience” - and that’s a trip to the pub.

The “local” or “public house” (from which pub is taken) has been a second home to many in London, and has been for years. It’s not surprising to find three generations of the same family all relaxing at the same time, since people grow up knowing that their friends, families and neighbors will be the ones sharing a drink with them when they enter. Meals are simple and rustic, and you can actually find quite decent fish and chips at most pubs. (Also, be sure to try a hearty and traditional Sunday roast dinner there, where a little more quiet crowd may be found reading the papers and watching the games on TV). Over one hundred years ago, painted signs hung outside pubs to identify the establishments to the patrons who were unable to read. Anyone could say “Meet up tonight at the Frog and Boot” because everyone could recognize a sign featuring (you guessed it) a frog and a boot. Fascinating combinations of names, all filled with meaning years and years before, continue to be found all around London: the Hope and Anchor, the Swan and Sugarloaf, and the Bull and Bush.

Pub etiquette is usually lost on the uninitiated. You need to step up to the bar and place your order; no one will serve you at your table. One of you should buy the drinks at the often-crowded bar while the rest go and find a table. As with everything else in London, there is a queue, so you must wait your turn to be served. You can size up the situation pretty well as you approach the bar, and the bartender is usually good about seeing who is next. You should pay for drinks when you receive them, although many places will also let you run a tab if you’d like. Good news: there is no need to tip when ordering drinks at the bar! If you’d like to, though, you’re welcome to buy the bartender a drink (or offer the equivalent amount in cash). If you accidentally spill someone’s drink, offer to buy them another. Drinking in the street is usually prohibited by law, but you can easily tell if it’s okay when there are tables outside or if others are nearby on the sidewalk near the entrance.

Basics on ordering drinks: Real ale is stronger than ale (or bitter), and ale is stronger than light ale, and lager is much more what we’re akin to in the US. Stout, like Guinness, is also popular. The phrase “ice cold beer” is not usually found in Britain, so beware. You can order either a pint or half-pint. Of course, you can also order wine and many different mixed drinks. If you want something different, try a cider (which is exactly what it sounds like, only alcoholic) or a shandy (an unbelievable mixture of beer and lemonade). Pimms is a popular gin-based drink in England, and you can have it mixed into a Pimms cocktail or Pimms & Lemonade. Traditional bar snacks include crisps and pork scratchings which, to the Americans, are simply potato chips or pork rinds.

Currently you may smoke in certain areas of London pubs, but new legislation may make 2006 the last full year you’ll be able to do so. Another new law came into effect late in 2005 making it possible for pubs to apply for 24/7 licenses, and many pubs have done so. The legal drinking age is 18, although 16 and 17 year olds can drink beer, alcoholic cider or wine with a table meal as long as they’re accompanied by an adult. Even children are allowed in pubs, provided they are with an adult and they don’t drink! Don’t be afraid to ask if you’re uncertain. Because of the easy availability of taxis and public transport, it is easier to prevent yourself and your companions from drinking and driving. Public intoxication does happen, but it is strictly dealt with by police.

Finally, if you’re looking for history along with your pint, seek out one of the oldest working pubs called Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese. Located in Fleet Street, it originated in the 1500s and was rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666. Dark and gloomy, as it was centuries ago, you can hoist a drink just as Dr. Samuel Johnson and Charles Dickens did years before you. If you’re lucky, escape downstairs into the often-closed cellar rooms and do some exploring at the below-stairs bar.

American Paint Horse

The American Paint Horse is a breed of horses which are known for having a percentage of white hair over skin combined with another color. This color pattern is one of the most important characteristics of this breed. The American Paint Horse Association is one of the largest breed register centers in the US.

Every American Paint Horse has white hair combined with some other color found in horses. This includes brown, black, tan, or gray. American Paint horses are related to the American Quarter Horse, and share the same ancestors. The markings on these horses can be anywhere on its body. Like the Quarter Horse, American Paint Horses are known for their speed and athletic qualities.

Strict requirements are necessary in order to register these horses. Both the sire and dam have to be registered in the APHA and the club for Thoroughbreds. At least one of the parents of the horse being registered must be an American Paint Horse. It is also important that the horse being registered have white fur over skin which is another color. These horses have an excellent temperament, and make great pets.

The American Paint Horse should have a body shape which is the same as the American Quarter Horse. They should be heavy but not very tall, and their center of gravity should be low. They should also be very muscular with a powerful back legs. They should also be able to run extremely fast and maneuver quickly. The American Paint Horse is one of the most popular breeds of horses in the United States today.

Despite this, these horses are susceptible to getting lethal white syndrome, a genetic disease. Some foals are born with a pure white color and do not have a functioning colon. As of this writing, no effective treatments have been found for this disease, and the foal usually dies within two weeks. The death is a very painful process, and they are typically put down once symptoms have been found. The coat color alone is not an indicator that a horse has this disease.

This disease has become well known among American Paint Horse breeders, and many of them have encountered this disease first hand. While it was thought at one time that overos carried this disease, recent research has shown that not all overos carry this disorder, and tobianos and quarter horses may carry it also. Despite these conditions, American Paint Horses are highly prized.

Managers, Want a Killer Edge?

managers with public relations reporting to them are
likely to miss achieving a killer edge when they focus
strictly on communications tactics like press releases,
special events, broadcast plugs or brochures.

On the other hand, those managers striving to alter the
individual perception of members of their key outside
audiences, as they create change in their behaviors, are
surely moving towards that killer competitive edge.

And progress will accelerate as they persuade many of
those important outside folks to their managerial way of
thinking, helping to move them to take actions that let
their department, group, division or subsidiary succeed.

In the proverbial nutshell, such managers take a giant
step forward by using public relations to do something
positive about the behaviors of the very outside
audiences that MOST affect their operations.

Thus, their reward arrives when PR creates the kind of
external stakeholder behavior change that leads
directly to achieving their most important managerial
objectives.

However, getting to this point means you need a
clearcut public relations blueprint designed to get every
member of your PR team working towards the same
external stakeholder behaviors.

The team might well implement a blueprint along these
lines: people act on their own perception of the facts
before them, which leads to predictable behaviors about
which something can be done. When we create, change
or reinforce that opinion by reaching, persuading and
moving-to-desired-action the very people whose
behaviors affect the organization the most, the public
relations mission is accomplished.

In due course, the plan should deliver results like these:
a rebound in showroom visits; capital givers or
specifying sources looking your way; prospects starting
to work with you; fresh community service and

manager, and to the PR blueprint starting with key
audience perception monitoring.

Another caution. Check to insure that your team
members accept the reasons as to why it’s SO
important to know how your most important outside
audiences perceive your operations, products or
services. Be certain they buy the reality that
perceptions almost always lead to behaviors that can
help or hurt your unit.

It will be time well spent for you to review your PR
blueprint with your team members, especially your
plan for monitoring and gathering perceptions by
questioning members of your most important outside
audiences. Questions like these: how much do you
know about our organization? Have you had prior
contact with us and were you pleased with the
interchange? How much do you know about our
services or products and employees? Have you
experienced problems with our people or procedures?

One option at your disposal is professional survey
counsel for the perception monitoring phases of your
program. However, keep in mind that your PR people
are also in the perception and behavior business and
can pursue the same objective: identify untruths, false
assumptions, unfounded rumors, inaccuracies,
misconceptions and any other negative perception
that might translate into hurtful behaviors.

By now, you will face the need to set down your
public relations goal. This gives you the chance to
do something about the most serious distortions you
discovered during your key audience perception
monitoring. Your new public relations goal might
call for straightening out that dangerous
misconception, or correcting that gross inaccuracy,
or stopping that potentially fatal rumor.

It almost goes without saying, but to achieve
success, you must employ a solid strategy, one that
clearly shows you HOW to proceed. To keep things
simple, note that there are only three strategic options
available to you when it comes to handling a
perception and opinion challenge. Change existing
perception, create perception where there may be
none, or reinforce it. Of course, the wrong strategy
pick will taste like pancake syrup on your garlic
pickles, so be certain the new strategy fits well with
your new public relations goal. Naturally, you don’t
want to select “change” when the facts dictate a
“reinforce” strategy.

One of the most difficult moments in public relations
is selecting the ideal writer for a challenging writing
assignment. And now is such a time when you must
share a powerful corrective message with members
of your target audience. But persuading an audience
to your way of thinking is hard work! And that’s why
your PR folks must come up with words that are not
only compelling, persuasive and believable, but clear
and factual. This is how you will be able to correct a
perception by shifting opinion towards your point
of view, leading to the behaviors you are targeting.

This is also the time to decide if your message’s
impact and persuasiveness are good enough to do
the job. If it is, you can move on to selecting the
communications tactics most likely to carry your
message to the attention of your target audience.
You can pick from dozens that are available. From
speeches, facility tours, emails and brochures to
consumer briefings, media interviews, newsletters,
personal meetings and many others. But be sure
that the tactics you pick are known to reach folks
just like your audience members.

You might also decide if you would rather unveil
your message before smaller gatherings rather than
using higher-profile tactics such as news releases.
Reason is, the credibility of a message can depend
on the credibility of its delivery method.

Someone’s going to suggest that progress be
summed up in a special report, so you and your PR
team should be prepared to return to the field and
start work on a second perception monitoring session
with members of your external audience. To create
this before-and-after comparison, you’ll want to use
many of the same questions used in the first
benchmark session. But this time, you will be
watching very carefully for signs that the bad news
perception is being altered in your direction.

Should progress slow, you also have at your disposal
the option of speeding up matters with more
communications tactics and increased frequencies.

So, the manager’s quest for a killer competitive edge
really IS dependent upon doing something positive
about the behaviors of the very outside audiences that
MOST effect his or her operations.

Which is precisely why PR must create the kind of
external stakeholder behavior change that leads
directly to achieving that manager’s most important
operating objectives.
